Essential Swimming Pool Construction Insurance

The Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) is an essential insurance cover that is provided to every APS client. This insurance provides protection to the homeowner, including subsequent purchasers, for losses arising from defective and incomplete work where the builder or developer: becomes insolvent, dies, disappears, or has their building licence suspended. The cover is provided on a per project basis lasts for six years from the date of job completion. Although this cover is compulsory, it’s vital that you check your builder has provided you with a Certificate of Insurance under the HBCF before any work commences.
